Something Blue.

This couple chose beautiful flowers with lots of pop! The bride had her traditional "something Blue" as her bouquet.

For a personal touch she added a locket to the front of her wrap with a photo of her loved one. Such a sweet and special addition.

The Bridesmaids carried flowers in all shades of purple and lavender with green berry accents.

The colors stood out beautifully next to the dresses.

Close up of the bling accents of the brides bouquet and the grooms boutonniere.

Large bouquet for entry table, candy buffet and food tables.

Mother nature didn't get the memo. This was an outdoor wedding among the beautiful rolling hills Berkeley at the Brazilian Room.

No problem, we moved everything inside. The 2 topiaries flanked the large rock fireplace inside.

The rain eventually stopped and the Bride and Groom were able to take some photos outside.

The Flowergirl carried a cute lavender pomander ball.

The personal flowers were ivory with accents of lavender to tie in with the rest of the wedding party.

Guests were asked to write on polished river rocks that would decorate the couples home and garden. Such a cute twist on the traditional guest book.

The tables had floating candles with ivy and lavender orchids. They had a romantic glow at night along with the fireplace.

The candy table was a big hit with "kids" old and young!

Love is sweet for sure!

At the end of the night the Bride tossed this bouquet as the newlyweds left for the night.

Brazilian Room Bridal Show - Berkeley

The Beautiful Brazilian Room, nestled deep in the Berkeley Hills of Tilden Park had it's annual Bridal Show. There is an extensive list of preferred vendors of which Floralisa is a part of.

Purple and green are very popular wedding colors this year again. I did many weddings last year with this color scheme and it is one of my favorites. It photographs beautifully and always looks so fresh and clean. There are so many types of flowers in these two colors that the combinations are endless.

I was referring to this one as the "Oscar" bouquet. It has a beautiful metallic look to the orchids and is very regal.

All my springtime brides LOVE blooming branches. There is such a short time to get them , that it is a luxury to have them in your centerpieces. Usually the rain or in some cases really hot days make the blossoms bloom out too fast. They like nice, cool spring days to last to their full potential.

Fell in LOVE with this bouquet. It just screams B-R-I-D-E! The Phalaenopsis orchids are show stoppers.

Matching boutonniere with the detail beading showing below.

Pretty little silver vase with carnations and anemonies.

Cute Kumquat centerpiece. It is fun to add real fruits and veggies to centerpieces.

Low centerpiece with gerbera daisy, roses and ornamental kale.

A few shots from the show!

Winter Blues

The color scheme for this winter wedding at the Brazilian Room was cobalt blue and gun metal gray with touches of sparkle and white feathers. It had a real 1920's vibe.

The bride Mary Joy found these "cute as a button" keepsake bouquets for her bridesmaids on Etsy.

This was the Bridal bouquet.

Side view of the girl's bouquets. They were placed in vases with cobalt blue marbles down the center of the head table.

Mary Joy was also the winner of a complimentary wish tree. Her manzanita branches had white orchids and feathers.

Clusters of triple vases with submerged flowers and blue glass were placed down the center of the head table along with the button bouquets.

The ceremony was inside by the fireplace. Large topiary trees were on pillars that flanked each side of the fireplace.

The round guest tables had mostly white flowers with touches of blue and 2 white ostrich feathers in each metal cube.

Clusters on the long head table.

I will post the professional shots of this wedding soon. Please check back!
